Las Vegas, NV, March 6, 2010
Nate Brown accepted an award for Special Contribution for Our Gang Racing's outstanding performance on the teams first full season of racing (prior to 2009, Our Gang had only raced in Tri-Cities and Seattle). In 2009, Our Gang set out to run the entire season on the unlimited circuit. Running with an all volunteer team, the team was working with a small number of crew members at some races. The team started out rocky but made the final in the last four races and finished the season sixth in national points. (picture Sam Cole (L) and Nate Brown (R))

Doha, Qatar - Oryx Cup, November 19-21, 2009
Qualified 5th at 134.386. Finished 2nd in Heat 1A followed with a 4th place finish in 2B. Heats 3, 4 saw the U-17 with 2 second place finishes and finished 4th in points for the day. Start of final got washed down with a roostertail and did not have time for the restart after the U-5 flip.
Congratulations to J Michael Kelly and the U-7 Graham Trucking on their Oryx Cup World Championship win. Also Congratulations to the U-1 Oboy Oberto team and Steve David on their spectacular display on the way to another National Championship.
Special Thanks to Sheikh Hassan bin Jabor al Thani and the people of Qatar for hosting the Oryx Cup World Championship, they put on a world class event.

July 2, 2009 - Our Gang Racing Team arrives in Madison.
Madison, IN - The 2009 American Boat Racing Association season gets under way this weekend in Madison, IN, with a field of eleven boats including the U-17 Our Gang Racing Team which pulled into the pits today after traveling across the country from Preston, WA (east of Seattle). The team spent the off season building a new lighter cowling and nun, installing a new rudder bracket, building another turbine engine, and putting together another gearbox. With the 2008 Rookie of the Year Kip Brown at the helm, the team is looking for big things this year after a successful exhibition at the Tastin' n Racin' festival on Lake Sammamish last month.

February 14, 2009 - Kip Brown Named Rookie of the Year
Madison, IN - The American Boat Racing Association announced Kip Brown as the winner of the Rookie of the Year award at the ABRA Annual Awards Banquet. Kip drives the Our Gang Racing U-17 Unlimited Hydroplane. In Kip's second race as an unlimited driver he made the final and finished fourth.

April '08 - SEAFAIR MOM RENEWS U-17 SPONSORSHIP
Mary O’Brien, mother of crew member John O’Brien, has once again reserved the coveted bull nose sponsorship of Our Gang’s hydroplane. “My mom has had her name on the leading edge of my race boats for the past seven years,” said John. “When the Thunder Valley guys joined forces with Our Gang she said those words that every boat owner wants to here. “John, do you need some money?”
The crew fielded many questions about the Seafair Mom moniker last summer. O’Brien explained the nickname. “Our family home is on Lake Washington Boulevard about two miles south of the pits. There are six kids in our family and my mom has put up with Seafair weekend parties, dawn to dusk, for over forty years. We’ve estimated 300 people at some of these events and she’s always right there in the middle of the shindig.” According to Mary, “Before there were soccer moms, there were Seafair Moms.”
