SEATTLE, Wash. (July 8, 2010)— Red Dot Corporation announced today that it will return as the title sponsor for the U-17 Our Gang Racing unlimited hydroplane for races in Detroit, Tri-Cities, and Seattle.
The U-17 Miss Red Dot will compete for the ABPA Gold Cup in Detroit on July 9-10; the Columbia Cup in Tri-Cities, Wash., on July 23-25; and the Albert Lee Cup on August 6-8 in Seattle. The events are part of the H1 Unlimited Hydroplane series.

“What made this possible was the support from several of our key business partners. Spal USA, Fastenal, TCCI, Eaton Aero Quip, and OSI Consulting all stepped up to support the return of the Miss Red Dot,” said Gary Hansen, vice president at Red Dot, a Seattle-based manufacturer of climate control products for heavy-duty vehicles.

Red Dot was a title sponsor during the construction and first season of the U-17 and has continued to support Our Gang Racing as an associate sponsor. Our Gang Racing, led by Nate Brown and based in Preston, Wash., has been racing on the H1 Unlimited circuit since 2007.

“We are very excited to have this agreement in place in time for the Gold Cup,” Hansen said. “We wish Nate and Our Gang Racing all the success this weekend. We are very proud to support such a terrific team once again.”

Red Dot designs and builds premium climate control components, integrated systems, replacement parts, and aftermarket units for vehicles in demanding work environments all over the world. Based in Seattle, Red Dot has approximately 400 employees in the United States, Europe, Mexico, and China, and more than 175 aftermarket distributor locations in North America.
